As far as recipes, it depends on whether or not you want to take the time to brine the turkey beforehand. It’s pretty cliche to use food network recipes, but I know people that have tried both of these and said they’re both really fantastic.

More savory choice (fastest prep time)

Slightly sweet flavor (needs 9 hours in brine)

I’d probably go with the Paula Deen one just because the brine would be a pain in the ass and since you’re already cloggin them arteries you may as well do it up. lol Enjoy your Thanksgiving Waldodude.

For the most part, the dangerous thing is when people do it outdoors and with a big ass pot over a flame. Then when they either move the pot, put the bird in, or take it out they spill some. Flames and oil don’t really like when they touch…

Yeah, I gathered it was either from that or the combination of flames + oil + poor oil measurement + idiots etc. Usually people do it outside in their driveways or in a garage. I just know it’s a regular statistic on the black friday news, how many people burned down their houses the day before. It’s always some large number that makes one lose faith in humanity and/or not want to live on this planet anymore.
