Thought I’d compile a list of all the bullshit I’ve seen thus far in the game. I tried to organize it some type of hierarchy with the biggest offenders at the top, but most importantly I just wanted everything there. Feel free to comment and I’ll update the list as time goes on. I want this in place so people can reference it 6 months down the line when nothing gets fixed (yes I’m hoping I eat my own words here).
Edit: Keep the comments coming, but in order to keep things fair I’ll only be updating the master list with issues that I’ve seen first hand. Also, if you can specify which system you’re playing on that’d be great.
Netcode/ping/lag: Inconsistency with shooting and being shot. Hitmarkers may pop up, but enemies often take many more rounds than necessary in order to die. Conversely, damage received is difficult to gauge as it’s all to easy to still die even after going prone behind a rock/tree/bridge etc.
Separate sensitivity settings: This wont be an issue until people start playing around with the vehicles, but you cannot have 1 generic sensitivity setting that works ideally for infantry, tanks, planes, and helicopters.
Tags: There seems to be some kind of delay on tags be it friendly or enemy when you first look at someone. Results in either increased deaths if you try to verify friendlies or increased FF if you kill first and ask questions later. I’ve also had these disappear entirely. I think there might be a button associated with it but it isn’t listed in the options.
Environment: Wide range of issues here. Warping players that blink in and out of existence. Going prone or crouching and having half your body clip the ground and enter the world. Literally falling through the world and still being able to shoot everyone who can’t see/hit you. Dispensing medkits/ammo kits and having them break through concrete walls or barriers.
Environment (movement): Moving around the map from place to place can be frustrating when your character chooses not to jump over the wall in front of himself or continually gets stuck on things like train tracks in the subway, an unseen rock outside, etc.
Environment (shrubbery): Bushwookies. Foliage is playing a significant part in how players move from one side of the map to the other. It does a good job of both disguising enemy movement and encouraging prone camping while giving the bushwookie a decent field of view outside of the bushes.
Environment (explosives): Grenades getting caught in trees and bushes directly in front of you. Killing yourself or enemies with explosives through walls that aren’t destructible.
Squads: Unable to join a squad with the party you joined the game with. Unable to selectively join certain plays or invite specific players to said squad.
Reloading: Ahh reminds me of BF42 post punkbuster. Reload either doesn’t work at all or you get the animation and it skips the actual reload.
Animation (dead bodies): Enemies who look as though they are dead often times are not but they move around as if gliding on the ground and are still able to shoot/kill.
Recon mobile spawn point: This particular gadget doesn’t always like to go down. Running around trying to place a mobile spawn point that wont let you place it is a good way to die.
No ADS: Occasionally your gun just wont ADS. Switching to a secondary will clear this up (usually), but I’ve had this happen 3-4 times in the same 15m round.
Bodies: Both bodies and guns of “dead” people are seen animating themselves on the floor in a number of different ways. Bodies may slide from place to place or simply move around as if still alive.
